Dubai: H. H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai paid a visit to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA) for an inspection to gain an understanding of the progress made in various departments.
A tour of departments was given to His Highness by Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director General of the GDRFA including the special needs e-gate project in Dubai International Airport. Major General Al Merri said the special needs counter which has been installed at terminal 3 of Dubai airport is the first of its kind in the Middle East and it will offer services to passengers with special need or those who are on wheelchairs. The latest e-gate system installed at the airport will serve to speed up and simplify the immigration process at entry and exit points.
